Fall Arrest Device HWPS - robust, low-maintenance fall arrest device with galvanized steel cable Ø 4.8 mm, lightweight due to extra light but impact-resistant plastic housing, and swivel suspension. The HWPS model series was specifically designed for mobile use. It is particularly useful when the work area frequently changes. The HWPS fall arrest device is equipped with an upper swivel suspension. To connect it to a safety harness or an anchor point according to EN 795, a carabiner is required. A suitable carabiner can be found in the "Carabiners" category. The swivel prevents the steel cable from twisting.
Functioning Principle: The device operates on the principle of a car seatbelt. The cable length automatically adjusts to the required length during work without hindering the user. The automatic length adjustment works up to a speed of approximately 0.5 meters per second. If this speed is exceeded, the pawls inside the fall arrest device are triggered by centrifugal force. The specially integrated braking system also serves as a fall arrestor and limits the forces acting on the human body to approximately 3-4 kN (depending on the application). The value of 6 kN required by the EN standard is significantly undercut.
